Growing up in Southern Maryland and boating go hand in hand. Anyone who has been boating on the Patuxent, Potomac, St. Mary’s River or the Chesapeake Bay understands why it is a favorite pastime. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police and the United State’s Coast Guard regularly patrol the local waters making sure boaters are operating in accordance with federal and state statutes.  Kevin has formal experience successfully defending Boating While Impaired charges in Southern Maryland.

DREs.jpg

The Maryland State Police and the County Sheriff’s Offices have increased training enforcement efforts related to detection of drivers impaired by controlled dangerous substances. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE)  may have been involved with your case. These police officers typically are contacted when a patrol officer suspects you may be impaired by something other than alcohol. DRE Officers are given extra training and are assigned to investigate drugged driving cases.  DRE’s are often called upon in court to state an opinion regarding impairment. Kevin has significant experience in defending cases involving Drug Recognition Experts.
